[EF @ AnimeNEXT 2012 Artist Alley Recap]

feature_anext12thanks
I think those of us in EtherFuture would agree that our presence at AnimeNEXT 2012 was felt only gently this year in light of not having our own Artist Alley table. However, that is no reason to not thank everyone who came by Table 73 and checked us out! Lots of great things happened because of you. But first, just as I shared an uplifting MangaNEXT 2012 story…

MangaNEXT 2012 concluded three weeks ago, and many artists and groups, like EtherFuture, have already begun preparing for the next one on the list and/or crafting their next work. It is for that reason, among other pesky real life obligations, that this brief convention recap is coming much later that I would have liked. However, that weekend of fun, joy, and collaborative accomplishment remains fresh in my mind.

I would like to share a story about the kindness of one lady that encapsulates our experience & successes at MangaNEXT.

We are happy (and fairly relieved) to announce that EtherFuture will be debuting the first of a series of doujinshi manga, Black☆Rock Shooter X VOCALOID, MangaNEXT‘s Artist Alley!

[MangaNEXT 2010 Attendee Recap]

The owner of AnimeAlmanac.com described MangaNEXT, to be a “small, cute convention“. Having gone in 2008 as an Artist Alley attendee, I could agree to an extent. In my opinion though, this year’s 4th iteration proved to be a little more than just “small and cute”.

[EtherFuture & MangaNEXT 2010]

Ah~ MangaNEXT…the convention where EtherFuture first made our debut at the Artist Alley in 2008. This was also the convention where we met a group of girls whom I have stayed in touch with since then and have tabled & have met up with at a few different cons. MangaNEXT is a con that holds a lot of meaning for myself and the group, as it was also during a time where I was losing faith in and feeling greatly disconnected from attending conventions in general – I was having a hard time forming lasting relationships. However, that all changed and now I look forward to seeing five awesome ladies every year.

[AnimeNEXT 2010 EF Artist Alley Report]

EtherFuture survived yet another Artist Alley at our home convention, AnimeNEXT. With this being only our second time tabling at ANEXT (and our third time overall), we want to first thank those who stopped by our booth (the one with the LCD display showing off our webcomic, Dance of Heart) and showed their support for the hard work for our earnest efforts to bring quality artwork to our fellow enthusiasts. We really had a blast, and was, by far, the best Artist Alley experience we’ve had yet!
